Late afternoonThe room begins to connect

22 August 2026 • Lubumbashi
A strong evening of practical discussion, open exchange and meaningful connections brought the DRC mining supply chain community together at the Novotel Lubumbashi Rooftop.
The Pre-Summit in retrospect
MISPAL was created to give supply chain professionals, operators, suppliers and experts a platform to discuss the realities they face in the DRC — without needing to import conversations that do not reflect the operating environment.
The 2026 Pre-Summit turned that idea into a real room: direct interventions, practical questions, differing perspectives and conversations that continued well beyond the formal panels.

What came out of the room
The formal programme covered four recurring pressure points in the DRC mining supply chain. Selected interventions and practical takeaways will return as a short MISPAL content series.
Regulatory reforms, pricing exposure, import realities and continuity planning.
Logistics constraints, lead-time volatility, stock-outs and urgent operational demand.
Transparency, responsiveness, documentation, service quality and measurable reliability.
Material identification, MRO visibility, procurement cycles and stock governance.
Thank you for bringing your experience, questions and willingness to engage openly.
Thank you for sharing practical perspectives and creating space for the room to challenge and build on them.
Thank you to the sponsors, partners, venue team and event facilitators whose support helped turn the Pre-Summit into a real platform.
